Magento Integration for Streamlined Procurement and Sales Processes
The ITScope trading platform offers shop operators the ability to include products from 400 IT distributors in their offerings. To make the integration with Magento or Adobe Commerce as efficient and convenient as possible, DELABYTE has developed a custom module. It enables resellers to largely automate their sales processes with connected suppliers – from importing product data to automatically calculating sales prices.

What is ITScope?
ITScope is a digital sales and eProcurement platform. It provides interfaces to ERP and shop systems through which suppliers and merchants can exchange product data and integrate procurement and sales processes. The trading platform primarily targets system houses and is used by 400 IT distributors and over 7,800 resellers.

Expanding Assortments with ITScope Integration for Magento
Trading platforms like ITScope simplify collaboration with suppliers and allow shop operators to offer a wider assortment to their customers. However, seamless and high-performance integration of the platform with the shop system is essential. While there is an interface for the integration platform SyncSpider to integrate ITScope with Magento or Adobe Commerce, it only synchronizes product data and comes with monthly subscription costs. Therefore, DELABYTE has developed its own module for connecting ITScope with Magento. It offers merchants a fast and cost-effective integration that automates all essential steps of the procurement and sales processes.

Importing Product Content, Attributes, and Stock Levels
How does ITScope integration with Magento work in detail? The starting point is contracts between the webshop operator and one or more ITScope-listed distributors. Based on an initial configuration, product data, prices, and stock levels can be imported from ITScope into Magento. DELABYTE uses the Pacemaker framework to ensure fast data import. In addition to product content with images and descriptions, the solution also automatically imports the attributes stored in ITScope.
The synchronization intervals are configurable. In practice, it has proven effective to synchronize products nightly and stock levels every 30 minutes. After import, merchants can access the products directly in Magento. If the entire supplier's assortment is to be made available to customers, the imported products can be activated immediately. Otherwise, it is recommended to import the products in a deactivated state. This allows merchants to selectively activate products that fit their portfolio and that they want to offer to their customers from an extensive assortment.
Automated Calculation of Final Prices
The prices of imported products typically fluctuate. To avoid manually calculating and adjusting the selling price based on purchase prices each time, DELABYTE's ITScope integration supports automatic price calculation. Online retailers can set the desired margin formula in the backend. The final prices are then automatically adjusted during data import. This automation eliminates the risk for shop operators of selling products that have become more expensive at too low a price. For products that have become cheaper, merchants remain competitive by automatically lowering the price.
Automatic Selection of the Cheapest Suppliers
When a customer purchases a product provided by suppliers, DELABYTE's module creates a corresponding order in ITScope. It considers both availability and price. If the order includes products available from multiple suppliers, the module selects the supplier with the lowest price. To save on shipping costs, the module tries to order as many items as possible from the same supplier. The order data transmitted to ITScope also includes customer-specific information such as the delivery address. This allows the supplier to ship the ordered products directly to customers via dropshipping.
Shipping Notification through Magento
Once the supplier has shipped the ordered products to the customers, they create a corresponding record in ITScope. The data, including tracking numbers for the shipped packages, is also transmitted directly to Magento by DELABYTE's ITScope module. Customers then receive an email with the shipping notification and the tracking number for order tracking.
